Hasselhoff Wins Custody of Kids, Report Says

May 21, 2007 — -- David Hasselhoff has won temporary custody of his two daughters, despite the release of a videotape showing him drunk in the presence of one of the two teenage girls, reports celebrity Web site TMZ.

At a secret, closed court hearing today, a court-appointed expert who performed psychological evaluations of the family, reportedly surprised the judge with evidence favorable to Hasselhoff.

TMZ says its sources reported that the expert said Hasselhoff's ex-wife, Pamela Bach, abused the girls, especially the younger daughter, Hayley. The expert is also said to have noted that Bach refused drug testing.

Bach's spokeswoman and the publicist for her lawyer told TMZ that Hasselhoff had his custody rights restored after agreeing to alcohol testing. They did not mention that the judge had stripped Bach of her custody rights.

Hasselhoff's lawyer refused to discuss the court appearance with TMZ.

TMZ reports the judge gave Hasselhoff full custody and that his daughters will live with him for the next two weeks, until the next hearing is held.

Earlier this month, a judge suspended Hasselhoff's visitation rights after the former "Baywatch" star admitted that he'd struggled to overcome alcoholism.

A videotape showed him on the floor of his Las Vegas home, struggling to eat a hamburger as a voice believed to belong to his 16-year-old daughter, Taylor-Ann, urged him not to drink.

Hasselhoff, 54, filed for divorce from Bach last year after 16 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. Bach, 43, filed her own divorce papers, also citing irreconcilable differences.
