Amy Schumer has perfect response to critics who said she was returning too soon to work after giving birth
"Sending out love to the moms shaming me," she wrote.
Amy Schumer recently returned to stand-up comedy after giving birth to a baby boy, but apparently the response from some wasn't all positive.
The comedian and actress took to Instagram to post a photo of her pumping for her baby Gene, accompanied by an epic clap back at critics.
"Sending out love to the moms shaming me for doing standup last night! #tinystairs #schumerpumprules," she wrote.
Schumer and her husband, Chris Fischer, welcomed their first child together in early May.
This week she was seen returning to stand-up comedy, where the rising star got her start. She performed at the iconic Comedy Cellar in New York City.
Schumer's supporters defended her on Instagram.
"That’s their own insecurities coming out. You keep doing you!" one person wrote. Another added, "They are just jealous that you have the energy and focus!! You show them!!"
Schumer, as all working mothers do, is juggling her professional life with the needs of raising a newborn. In the photo, she's texting while pumping.
One fan wrote, "I am so happy again to see a celebrity in REAL life pictures! So courageous what you do! No worries about those shaming moms, they are just jealous!"
At the time of her son's birth, Schumer took to Instagram to share his first photos, making a joke about the recent birth of the new royal baby. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, also welcomed a boy this month.
"10:55 pm last night. Our royal baby was born," she wrote.
Since then, Schumer's social media has been full of pictures of the doting parents who are over the moon in love with their new baby boy.
