David Beckham was honored with the Editor's Special Award at the 2019 GQ Men Of The Year Awards on Tuesday night in London, England.

The soccer legend and father of four attended the event with his wife, designer Victoria Beckham, and oldest son, Brooklyn -- all three decked out in stylish suits for the glamorous, star-studded occasion.

Victoria shared a snap of the trio, expressing her admiration for her husband in the caption.

"So proud of @davidbeckham’s #GQ cover, celebrating his 20 year journey at the #GQAwards tonight," she wrote. "Xxxx Kisses"

David shared the same photo, writing, "Really proud to be with my family tonight," in the caption.

To help him celebrate the award, the Beckham family, along with close family friends Elton John, Anna Wintour and Dior's Kim Jones, recorded a video tribute to the footballer.

"He's become an ambassador for sport, he's become an ambassador for UNICEF," John shares in the video. "You have managed to bridge both the worlds of sport and fashion in unprecedented style," Wintour added.

"It's been 20 years of quite outstanding looks and his journey," Victoria shares, referencing the 20-year mark since her husband's first British GQ cover. "It’s been what makes David a fashion icon that he is now."

His children deliver equally adoring praises and point out one of their favorite looks from their father's past -- the funky purple suit he wore to his wedding reception.

During Beckham's acceptance speech at the award show, he spoke about his relationship with GQ over the years, his fashion history and, at times, questionable outfits. He also offered thanks to all the people who contributed to his many projects in the past years.
