The hitmaker's Central Park concert -- which took place Aug. 7, 1997 -- was broadcast live on HBO. The special, "Garth: Live from Central Park," was nominated for six Primetime Emmy Awards.

"We're going to pull in to Central Park -- we'll pull back out of it during times to kind of tell you what you're thinking, what you're seeing, what you remember and then go back in," Brooks said. "And we're going to relive the whole night 25 years later, but this time I get to be in the crowd and this will be fun."

During his time on "GMA," Brooks also discussed his upcoming release, "The Anthology, Part II: The Next Five Years."

The anthology gives an inside look into recording sessions for many of Brooks' albums, including "Fresh Horses," "Sevens," "The Limited Series," "Double Live" and "Scarecrow." It also contains reflections on his personal and professional life, focusing specifically on 1996 to 2001.

"The Anthology Part II, The Next Five Years" is available to preorder now and will be out Nov. 15.
