Kate Hudson talks new clothing line and how she'll celebrate turning 40
"I just want some martinis and I want to sleep in," Hudson said.
Kate Hudson can now add ready-to-wear apparel to her list of achievements.
The actress and mom of three stopped by "Good Morning America" on Thursday where she opened up on her new line, Happy x Nature, and how it feels to approach the milestone age of 40.
"I personally with having a baby, feel like I deserve a really good hangover," Hudson said on "GMA," adding that she wants a "blowout" celebration. "I've been so good, I've been so busy, I've been breastfeeding like crazy and I just want some martinis and I want to sleep in. That'd be really nice."
Hudson is mom to two boys -- Ryder, 15, and Bingham, 7 -- and a daughter -- Rani Rose, 6 months.
"Seeing the boys with her, I feel like I tear up everyday because Ryder's so big," she said. "To see him with his sister and be a real helper and for me to be able to walk away and go, 'Hey honey, can you just take the baby?' And then I turn around and I'm like, 'Oh my gosh.'"
"I think when they want something, I'm definitely the cool mom," Hudson added. "I'm cool until I start singing too much. Then I'm not cool.
Beyond parenting, Hudson, who also co-founded the athleisure brand Fabletics, donned a yellow dress during her appearance on "GMA" Thursday from Happy x Nature, her first-ever ready-to-wear line.
"It's eco-friendly," Hudson said. "My whole goal is to be able to talk about more sustainable living and more sustainable fashion and use natural fibers and recycled cottons and we even use recycled plastic bottles for clothes. It's really incredible what we can do now."
"I have a thing where if I'm going to put it out there it has to mean something," she added.
