Rihanna reveals that she and Nipsey Hussle could have worked together

Rihanna is one of the many artists mourning the loss of Nipsey Hussle.

Not only has Nipsey Hussle been taken from us too soon, but we've also lost all the music he could have made in the future -- like a potential collaboration with Rihanna.

Wednesday, the global star-turned-beauty mogul revealed that before his death, the rapper was eager to hop on a record with her.

Taking to Instagram, the ANTI singer shared a screenshot of a text message conversation between Hussle and superproducer Hitmaka.

At one point during the exchange, Hitmaka mentions a song titled "On My Mind," and says it has the potential to be a "Hot 100 #1" with the addition of Rihanna.

"We gotta get Rihanna then," Hussle responds. "Ima [sic] work on this one. This a GO!"

Although Rih did not accompany the repost with a long caption, it's clear she's still grieving over Hussle's death.

She followed Hitmaka's post by sharing a video montage of photos of Hussle and his longtime girlfriend Lauren London, which she captioned, "I’m so sorry @LaurenLondon."

As the global hip-hop community continues to mourn Hussle, the rapper will be remembered at a memorial at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Thursday.

A procession is set to follow and will span 25 miles of his native South Central L.A., passing his Marathon Clothing store, where he was gunned down March 31. Hussle's final resting place will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
