Teresa Giudice drops daughter Gia off at college: 'I’m so excited'

Teresa Giudice dropped her daughter Gia Giudice off at college earlier this week and shared her excitement that Gia is entering this next chapter in her life.

"Congratulations to my beautiful daughter and niece on their new chapter in life. I’m so excited for both of you to follow your dreams and take what life has to offer you," she wrote on Instagram.

In her Insta stories, The "Real Housewives" star shares pics and videos from the move into the Rutgers dorms.

Teresa's brother, Joe Gorga, helped move Gia in and you can see just how much stuff the young woman is trying to fit into her dorm, like most kids leaving home for the first time.

Gorga even assembled a nice TV stand and storage unit for Gia.

"She packed too much," Teresa jokes about her 18-year-old daughter. "We have so much more to [unpack]."

Teresa also marveled at "the view" Gia has from her room.

Earlier this summer, Teresa celebrated her daughter's high school graduation on social media. Fans got to see Gia accept her diploma, throw her cap into the air and then eat a tasty meal after to honor the occasion.

Noticeably absent from the college move was Joe Giudice. Teresa is still dealing with the possibility of her husband being deported back to his native country of Italy.

Joe Giudice pleaded guilty in 2014 to bankruptcy fraud and failing to pay taxes on $200,000 worth of income. He was released from prison in March 2019. Teresa also served nearly a year in prison after pleading guilty to submitting false loan applications when she applied for a $5 million mortgage.

According to U.S. law, immigrants can be deported if they are convicted of "a crime of moral turpitude" or an "aggravated felony."

In November, Teresa Giudice spoke to "GMA" after it was announced that Joe would be deported to Italy after he finished his stint in federal prison for bankruptcy fraud.

"It's heartbreaking," she told Michael Strahan. "I never thought I'd be in this position. I have to stay strong. I have four beautiful daughters and they need their mommy."
