In what can only be described as an early holiday gift to the world, a Shelbyville, Indiana-based photographer held a newborn photo shoot themed after the movie "Christmas Vacation."

"I think people love them because they mix the sweetness of a baby with the hilarious adult humor of this movie," Amy Haehl of Coffee Creek Studio told "Good Morning America."

The planning for these old-fashioned family Christmas photos took more than a year.

"I spent so many hours searching to find the perfect details and then created the sets myself," Haehl said. "It wasn't easy to find a couch that would work perfectly, so I found the fabric and made the couch myself as well as the curtains for the kitchen scene. A couple of my friends let me borrow their pools for the pool scene as well. As for the burning tree...luckily my firefighter husband jumped at the chance to burn a tree for me, and then put it out."

The photographer told "GMA" that while she doesn't typically do themed photo shoots, she "just always loved the 'Christmas Vacation' movie and thought it would be so funny to photograph newborns in scenes from the movie."

Her Facebook followers agree.

"They're commenting and messaging me about how much I've brightened their days which makes me so happy because that was the intention of these photos," Haehl said. "I just created them for fun and to spread some holiday cheer."
