Metallica, the band known for its dark lyrics and heavy metal sound, is showing its soft side with the release of a children's book.
The "ABCs of Metallica" will include rhymes and illustrations that look back at the history of the iconic rock group, and all for a great cause.
All Within My Hands was founded in 2017. The foundation supports workforce education, the fight against hunger and other critical local services.
The band worked with author Howie Abrams and musical artist Michael "Kaves" McLeer for the book's colorful illustrations, with the cover showing members Lars Ulrich, James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujilloin in all their animated glory.
“The ABCs of Metallica,” a rhyming, illustrated history of Metallica from A to Z, hits shelves on Nov 26th and is available for pre-order now. A portion of all proceeds benefits @AWMHFoundation, supporting communities in need.
