Man loses nearly 100 pounds waiting for Taco Bell to bring back his favorite nachos
After 473 days, Chris Sandberg has lost nearly 100 pounds.
One Taco Bell fan has committed to a fitness plan on TikTok until the fast-food chain brings back his go-to cheat meal order: grilled stuft nachos.
Chris Sandberg -- aka "stuftnacho" on TikTok -- said he would do just about anything for his favorite fast food, as first reported by the Washington Post, and decided to share his workouts and weight loss journey in lieu of eating at Taco Bell.
"There's a number of people that'll say every item at Taco Bell tastes the same, but trust me, the grilled stuft nacho is the exception," Sandberg said.
Last year, weighing nearly 300 pounds, Sandberg kicked off his health journey with an exercise challenge on social media to chip away at his goal in hopes of capturing the attention of the Southern California-based chain.
For 100 days, Sandberg documented the transformation in its entirety. After 473 days, he's down nearly 100 pounds.
"I was like, 'Man, if I spent as much time as I do on TikTok on my health, you know, maybe I could lose a couple of these pounds,'" he said.
Although the grilled stuft nacho has not returned to the menu for the masses, when Taco Bell took notice of Sandberg's videos, the company rewarded him with a special order of his favorite meal.
Until the folded and grilled tortilla dish returns permanently, Sandberg said he will stay the course.
"I'm putting in the time, I'm putting in the work, I'm trying to stay consistent. Will I keep working out? We'll see. We'll see," he said.
