Refugee Children Draw Scenes From Syrian Crisis
The ongoing violence in Syria has taken a physical and mental toll on many, including the youngest survivors. In a refugee camp in Turkey, children drew their view of the Syrian crisis.
The images reveal how the youngest victims of war see the conflict. The drawings were done as part of a mental health exercise aimed at helping children cope with trauma.
One child's image shows violence on the day of Eid in Syria, a holiday celebrated universally by Muslims. The child wrote on the drawing, "Eid came and it is as if Hell, and we are not happy with this Eid."
