LONDON, April 13, 2011— -- It's confirmed: Kate Middleton has been confirmed!

Middleton, 29, had already been baptized but was not confirmed. So, on March 10, Kate underwent the ceremony, which marks the point at which baptized Christians commit to their faith.

Prince William's future bride was confirmed in the Church of England, and the ceremony was carried out by the bishop of London, the Rev. Richard Chartres.

This is the same bishop who will give the address at Kate and Will's marriage ceremony April 29.

"Catherine Middleton was confirmed by the bishop of London at a private service at St. James's Palace, attended by her family and Prince William," said a spokesman from St. James's Palace.

"Miss Middleton, who was already baptized, decided to be confirmed as part of her marriage preparations."

The bishop of London also confirmed Prince William, in 1997, when the prince was 14 years old.

The ceremony that took place at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, marks one of the last times Will was seen with his mother, Princess Diana, before her fatal car crash in August that year.

The royal family stands at the head of Church of England, and Prince William will one day assume the title of supreme governor.
