— -- Calgary got hit with a crazy thunderstorm Tuesday evening that rained hail down for several hours.
A warning was sent out just before rush hour that the weather service was tracking a severe thunderstorm and the hail started coming down soon after.
Cars, pedestrians and plants got hit by the storm that made the middle of summer look like wintertime.
The Calgary Police Service had nine reports of car collisions with injuries and 18 reports of non-injury collisions.
There were a number of underpasses that were closed down for driver safety when they flooded from the rain, police said.
The storm wrapped up around 9 p.m.
The Calgary Emergency Management Agency did not immediately respond to ABC News' request for comment.
