Spain gets messy with annual Tomatina Festival

More than 20,000 people have been drenched in red pulp after hurling tons of ripe tomatoes at one another in the annual Tomatina street battle in the town of Bunol in eastern Spain's Valencia province. The fun event was inspired by a food fight among local children in 1945 in the tomato-producing region.
