Aug. 31, 2013— -- The team of UN inspectors that collected samples from the site of an alleged chemical weapons attack in Syria arrived in the Netherlands today, where their evidence is being analyzed in labs. At a briefing reporters at UN headquarters in New York, Martin Nesirky, spokesman for UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, said results are still pending. The news comes as President Obama said he will seek authorization from Congress for a military strike on Syria.

Syrian officials have denied that the Assad government has had anything to do with the horrific attacks, and have placed the blame on rebel fighters.
