Raccoon Uses Umbrella to Stay Out of Rain

— -- A raccoon in Kansas went to great lengths to find shelter from the rain.

Bri Smith captured video of a raccoon of outside her home in Topeka, Kansas, Wednesday. The raccoon was standing on top of her mailbox underneath a concrete umbrella.

"I captured this rare and adorable moment on video this morning in Topeka, KS," she wrote in a Facebook post. "I was planning to check the mail and instead found this little raccoon desperately trying to stay dry under my mailbox's umbrella."

Smith said she initially saw three raccoons struggling to get under the umbrella, but her dog scared two away.
