— -- YouTube sensations BBQ Pit Boys -- Bob Ahlgren and his son Jesse, Joe Cunningham and Jason Chowaniec -- joined the 'GMA 40 for 40’ livestream to show viewers how to cook up a barbecue feast.

The meat-loving pit masters took viewers deep into the heart of New England, in Connecticut, where they shoot all their YouTube videos, to grill some ribs, chicken wings and stuffed baked potato bombs in the middle of the night.

When ABC News’ Reena Ninan asked the BBQ Pit Boys if they could whip her up dish of tofu with bit of jalapeno and honey, their reply was simple.

“You’ve come to the wrong pit, girl,” Bob Ahlgren said. “We’re pretty much meat eaters around here.”

Ahlgren said they came to be YouTube stars completely by accident.

“I had just taken a video of my son’s wedding and I had this nice camera and didn’t know what to do with it after that, and a friend of mine asked, ‘Bob, how’d you do those ribs?’ he recalled. “So I took of a video of it and put it up on YouTube.”

The rest, as they say, is history.

Their most-watched barbecuing video to date is their “Beer Can Bacon Burger” clip. It was uploaded in March 2015 and has more than 6 million hits.

“It’s real popular,” said Ahlgren. “A burger you can make and stuff with what you like and everybody loves it.”

But Ninan was confused how the beer actually comes to play in the recipe.

“The beer’s for the pit master,” Ahlgren quipped. “The beer can becomes a mold. When you see it you’re going to want to do it.”
