Hillary Clinton Says Donald Trump Makes Her Want to 'Unplug the Internet -- or Just Look at Cat GIFs'
"Or just look at cat GIFs," Clinton said.
SAN FRANCISCO -- Hillary Clinton says Donald Trump has driven her to watching cat GIFs.
During remarks at a fundraiser in San Francisco today, the Democratic nominee reacted in an unexpected way to her opponent’s latest remarks about women.
“It makes you want to unplug the internet or just look at cat GIFs,” Clinton remarked.
“Believe me, I get it,” she continued. “In the last few weeks, I’ve watched a lot of cats do a lot of weird and interesting things. But we have a job to do, and it’ll be good for people and for cats.”
This remark was part of the Democratic nominee’s first response to the latest stories about Trump’s alleged sexual misconduct with women.
"The whole world, the whole world has heard Trump brag about how he mistreats women and the disturbing stories just keep coming,” she said today. “But it's more than just the way he degrades women as horrible as that is. He has attacked immigrants, African Americans, Latinos, people with disabilities, POWs, Muslims and our military, which he has called a disaster.”
She added: "There is hardly any part of America that he has not targeted."
On Wednesday, the New York Times published a report about two women who claim that Trump sexually assaulted them. The Republican presidential nominee has denied the accusations and, in response, has threatened to sue the newspaper.
