“GMA” is No. 1 in Total Viewers for the Week of November 23

ABC News’ “Good Morning America” finished as the week’s No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers (5.146 million) for the week of November 23, 2015, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “GMA” beat NBC’s “Today” (4.930 million), increasing its lead from the previous week by 41% ( 216,000 vs. 153,000 for w/o 11/16/15) to its largest in 4 weeks – since w/o 10/26/15. In addition, “GMA” has won all 10 weeks of the season and all 48 weeks of the year.

Season to date, “GMA” is the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers, leading “Today” by 323,000 (4.930 million vs. 4.607 million) and taking the top spot at this point of the season for the 4th consecutive year.

During the week, “GMA” led “CBS This Morning” in Total Viewers (+47%/+1.646 million), Adults 25-54 (+61%/+657,000) and Adults 18-49 (+56%/+423,000), turning in its largest overall viewer lead of the season.

November 2015 Sweep

ABC News’ “Good Morning America” won the 2015 November sweep in Total Viewers (5.059 million), based on Most Current Data from Nielsen Media Research. “GMA’s” sweeps victory marked its 4th consecutive November win and 14th straight sweep win in overall viewers. “GMA” outperformed NBC’s “Today” (4.850 million) by +209,000 during the month.

“GMA” improved over the previous sweep (4.475 million, 1.535 million and 1.052 million for July 2015) in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+13%), Adults 25-54 (+10%) and Adults 18-49 (+10%).

“GMA” beat “CBS This Morning” during the November sweep in Total Viewers (+43%/+1.524 million), Adults 25-54 (+59%/+429,000) and Adults 18-49 (+65%/+668,000).
