What's It Like Being Jennifer Aniston
Jan. 13 -- Jennifer Aniston discusses the painful rift with her mother and saying goodbye to Friends in an interview with Diane Sawyer airing on this week's Primetime Thursday.
"I never thought my mom would not know my husband," says Aniston. The actress and her mother have been estranged since the latter granted an interview to a tabloid television program and later wrote a book about their relationship.
"She made a mistake … I don't think she knew any better — obviously," Aniston says.
With respect to reconciliation, she says "I've definitely tried, I made the efforts, and I've sort of started … you know, it's that stubborn thing of 'well, I tried … I tried enough. Now it's your turn.' You know? And so maybe that's where we are, and like I've said, now we're sort of all standing in our corners, just waiting for the other to approach, probably."
The interview airs Thursday night on ABC's Primetime Thursday (10-11 p.m. ET).
