If you've visited the grave of Lee Harvey Oswald, the man who killed President John F. Kennedy, in Fort Worth, Texas, you've seen it -- a marker roughly the same size as Oswald's headstone that reads in all capital letters NICK BEEF.

Apparently, history buffs have spent sleepless nights tossing and turning over one of time's unsolvable mysteries, "Who is Nick Beef?"

The New York Times did some serious sleuthing -- turns out Beef is some 56-year-old "nonperforming performance artist" alive and well in New York. He bought the plot when he was 18 for $17.50 and 16 easy monthly payments of $10.
