PITTSBURGH -- The Steelers will be without Jaylen Warren against the Indianapolis Colts as the running back recovers from a knee injury that occured in the Week 3 win against the  Los Angeles Chargers. Warren didn't participate in practice all week and was ruled out Friday.

With Warren sidelined, the bulk of the carries will return to running back Najee Harris, who had 18 carries for 70 yards on 38 snaps against the Chargers. Warren, whom coach Mike Tomlin pulled from the game when he noticed Warren wasn't moving smoothly, played just 22 offensive snaps.

While Harris will be the Steelers' primary back, the team will also likely use versatile offensive threat Cordarrelle Patterson in a backup role. Patterson, a 12-year veteran who signed with the Steelers in the offseason to be a kick returner, played 22 snaps against the Chargers and had four rushing attempts for 33 yards along with three catches on five targets for 15 yards.

"Whenever my number's called, I'm ready," Patterson said. "No matter where it's at on the field, I had to go play wide receiver, running back, that's whatever. Man, I'm just excited to be here."
