Yankees slugger Aaron Judge has stress fracture in rib

New York Yankees right fielder Aaron Judge has a broken rib and will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

Manager Aaron Boone called the injury a stress fracture to Judge's first right rib and said it's an injury that likely dates back to September of last year.

"Signs are that it shows signs of healing so we're going to give it the next couple of weeks and then we'll retest to show how much healing is going on with that rib," Boone told reporters on Friday.

Boone said surgery is "not off the table," but the team is going to wait to see how the rib is healing before making any decisions.
