April 22, 2010— -- A software engineer walks into a bar. It sounds like the opening of a joke, but it's no laughing matter for Apple. Bloggers at Gizmodo say they got their hands on the next iPhone when an Apple employee left the prototype in a California bar. The new phone is slimmer, and has a brighter screen and larger battery. It includes a front-facing camera for making Skype phone calls, as well as a back-facing camera with an LED flash. The new iPhone is not expected to be unveiled for a few more months.

There's a new chapter in the popular Splinter Cell video game series. "There's a lot of supersecret spy gadgets, your night vision goggles, your little sticky cams that you can throw up on the wall and see what's going on around the corner, because the key is to not be seen, to not get into fights, rather than just jump into the room and beat up everybody in there" said CNET's Dan Ackerman. The latest version of the Tom Clancy-inspired game is called "Conviction."

New reports say last year's cyberattack on Google put the private information of millions at risk. Intruders from China broke into a system that gave users access to multiple Google services with a single log in. Google says the passwords of Gmail users were not compromised. Still, experts worry the information may help hackers find other vulnerabilities in Google.

And the first 3-D home computer is expected to go on sale this fall in Japan. Computermaker NEC says you'll have to wear special glasses, similar to ones handed out at "Avatar" and other 3-D movies. The computers will use Blu-ray technology, and cost as much as $200 more than a regular computer. No word when they'll be available in the U.S.
