Rayman Raving Rabbids -- Wii
— -- Ubisoft's "Rayman: Raving Rabbids" is likely one of most underrated and less talked about games for the Nintendo Wii out for the holidays.
This entry into the popular series revolves around Rayman and his "globox" friends -- a race of magical creatures that have appeared in all of the major Rayman games. The lot has been captured by a group of deranged rabbits and in order to save himself and his friends, Rayman must face a series of tests that range from hurling cows to dancing to the Cindy Lauper classic "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun."
Each level consists of five mini-games. In order to proceed to the next level, players must finish at least three of the first four games before they can move on to the fifth.
The mini-games in "Rayman: Raving Rabbids" show off the full potential of the the Wii controller and Nunchuck attachment as it requires you to get physical and interact with the story; Rayman is a lot like the Mario Party series of games.
A very easy game to pick up and play, it's perfect for playing with friends and could be fun for parents to play with their kids. Although the graphics are not phenomenal and the story is easily forgotten, the main game and wide variety of action packed mini-games more than make up for it.
Overall, this game is entertaining and sure to get anyone who plays it "hopping."
"Rayman: Raving Rabbids" is rated "E" for Everyone and is made by Ubisoft for the Nintendo Wii and retails for $49.99.
