It uses cloud technology, providing a virtual environment for various devices to store and share software.

It's a risky move because nearly nine of 10 workplace computers use Office. For the product to succeed, Microsoft must convince some companies to switch.

LulzSec's reign of terror appears to be over. The group that claimed responsibility for hacking into major corporate and government databases worldwide announced over the weekend that it has disbanded.

Members claimed they'd gotten bored.

Cars Go Driverless

Driverless cars are becoming a reality. Nevada is the first state to make it legal for drivers to travel in Google's automated Priuses and Audi TT's.

Proponents of the technology argue that driverless cars are safer than traditional cars because the drivers won't be distracted.
