House Republicans Poised to Repeal Health Care Law: Do You Support Repeal?
'World News' wants to hear from you.
Jan. 19, 2011— -- The Republican-controlled House is set to give President Obama's health care overhaul an emphatic vote of no confidence today when it is expected to pass the bill titled "Repealing the Job-Killing Health Care Law Act."
The law energized conservatives during the mid-term elections and helped propel them to power in Congress. But Democrats vow that the repeal effort will die in the Senate.
Rep. Rob Andrews, D-N.J., said Republicans are "re-litigating, regurgitating and rearguing" a debate that was settled last year.
But Rep. Nan Hayworth, R-N.Y., disagreed. "Our vote to repeal is not merely symbolic. … It respects the will of the American people. And it paves the way to reform our health care."
Our question to you today: Do you support the Republican effort to repeal President Obama's health care law?
