Man Arrested After Climbing New York City's Brooklyn Bridge

Man scaled the bridge and took photos with his iPhone, authorities said.

— -- Police were investigating a new security breach on New York City’s Brooklyn Bridge after a 24-year-old scaled the bridge and took photos with his iPhone, authorities said.

The incident happened at about 12:15 p.m. Sunday. Video showed the man, identified as Yaroslav Kolchin, walking past security and scaling the bridge.

Aviation, harbor and emergency service units rushed to the scene, and the man was taken into custody.

Kolchin faces charges of reckless endangerment, obstruction of governmental administration, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct -- hazardous condition, police told ABC News.

Sunday’s incident came just more than a month after two American flags were stolen from the top of the bridge and replaced with a pair of bleached-out flags.

There were no reported injuries or damage in the latest incident.
