1. Flooding Drenches the South
Flooding has drenched parts of the country from the Carolinas to Texas. Up to fourteen inches of rain have fallen in areas of Texas over the past four days.

2. Alzheimer's Study Could Lead to a Prevention
A new study is giving researchers a close look at how Alzheimer's develops, long before it starts impacting the brain. This new information could lead to a preventative drug to battle the disease in the future.

3. Jackson Jr. Treated for 'Mood Disorder'
The office of U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. put out a statement Wednesday, more than a month after the Democrat from Chicago went on medical leave with little explanation. The statement was from Jackson's physician and said that the Congressman is receiving "intensive medical treatment at a residential treatment facility for a mood disorder."

4. Cross-border Drug Tunnel Discovered
Authorities will announce the discovery of a cross-border drug tunnel at a press conference today. The tunnel links a commercial building in San Luiz, Arizona and according to a DEA source, it's the first tunnel of its kind discovered in the area.

5. Evacuated Homes Burglarized
Thirty-Seven of the homes that were evacuated during Colorado's Waldo Canyon Fire were burglarized. Authorities are offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information on the thieves. Nearly 350 homes were destroyed in the fire.
