A man who left at least six people injured in an attack at the Gare du Nord station in Paris was shot by police and hospitalized, authorities said.

France's long-awaited "trial of the century" has begun in Paris, as more than a dozen people tied to the deadly 2015 terror attacks face a panel of judges.

In November 2015, nine masked gunmen, some strapped with suicide bombs, attacked a soccer match and Paris cafes and a concert hall. More than 400 people were wounded and 130 people were killed.

With 1,800 plaintiffs, 20 defendants and 330 lawyers, the trial is historic.

The artwork was painted on an exit door of the theater where 90 people were killed.

Salah Abdeslam, a French national, is being held across the border from Belgium.

“My silence does not make me a criminal or guilty," he said. "I am defending myself by remaining silent. Judge me. Do as you want with me. I put my trust in my Lord."

The Bataclan concert hall in Paris has undergone months of renovations.
