Election 2024 updates: With Arizona, Trump sweeps all 7 swing states
The final electoral college count is Trump: 312, Harris: 226.
Just days after former President Donald Trump was projected to have won the presidency, Trump's transition team operation has begun, with transition co-chairs confirming that he will be selecting personnel to serve under his leadership in the coming days.
Trump is also the projected winner in Arizona, a state the former president flipped after losing it to Joe Biden in 2020.
Trump's projected win in the vital swing state marks a sweep of the battleground states.

Trump: 'It’s an honor to be elected as your 47th President'
Former President Donald Trump thanked his supporters in a fundraising email, promising a "golden age."
Calling his victory "a political victory that our country has never seen before," Trump wrote, "I will fight for you, for your family, and your future. Every single day I will be fighting for you with every breath in my body."
Trump is projected to win the presidential race despite being vastly out-raised by Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign over the last few months and constantly trailing in campaign cash on hand.
As of Oct. 16, the Harris campaign, the DNC and their joint fundraising committees reported having nearly $270 million in cash on hand compared to $202 million for the Trump campaign, the RNC and their joint fundraising committees, most recent filings show.

This will take a long time to process. But the work of protecting America from the impacts of a Trump Presidency starts now."
Dillon adds that Harris told Trump that she would work with Biden to ensure a peaceful transfer of power, unlike what happened in 2020. Harris will also hold an all-staff call after her speech to talk about the road ahead.
