Al Qaeda to Answer Online Questions
Zawahri will answer submitted questions on a video released within two days.
April 2, 2008 -- Last year, al Qaeda demonstrated its technological know-how when its No. 2 man solicited online questions from the public. Now, more than two months after it promised, al Qaeda is gearing up to offer the answers.
Al Qaeda's media arm as Sahab announced it is releasing a video featuring Ayman al Zawahri answering some of the questions he received from jihadist message boards.
Zawahri first solicited online questions from the public in December, when a written announcement appeared at the end of his address saying he, "invites individuals, organizations and media outlets to submit questions…" to be answered in one month from the video's release. Zawahri asked for all questions, "whether they be friendly or hostile."
Jihadist Web site experts say the video will be released within the next two days.
