Amy Schumer Explains Why She Turned Down 'The Daily Show'

The comedian admitted that she seriously considered it.

— -- Amy Schumer was so flattered to be offered the position of "Daily Show" host that she cried.

"It felt like it would be betting against myself," she said. "OK, this way I'm secure and I know I'll make [money] and I'll have this job... but I'm like, 'No. I'm gonna bet on myself that I can do more.'"

"I just pictured all the fittings -- all the blazers I would have to wear," she joked. "I was like, 'I don't want to do that!'"
