Breanna Stewart Reacts to 'Unbelievable' No. 1 WNBA Draft Pick
The UConn basketball star was picked by the Seattle Storm.
— -- University of Connecticut basketball star Breanna Stewart says she could not have pictured a better WNBA draft than the one Thursday night in which she was the No. 1 pick by the Seattle Storm.
“It was an unbelievable experience and to be able to share it with my family and my friends, they were all so excited,” Stewart said today on “Good Morning America.” “And to be able to hold up that Seattle Storm jersey, I couldn’t have pictured it any better.”
The New York native will join the Storm after completing the “impossible” in college: winning four consecutive NCAA tournament championships.
“There’s not a lot of words to describe it,” Stewart, 21, said. “We made history.”
