For those who are fans of the "X-Men" franchise and comics, obviously he's referring to his card-throwing character Gambit, who has strong ties to New Orleans.
Gambit first appeared in the early 1990's and has been a hit ever since.
The only time we've seen the "X-Men" great in any of the movies has been in 2009's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," where Taylor Kitsch played the role. Now with Tatum at the helm, he's getting his own movie in 2016!
The "Magic Mike" star was first confirmed by "X-Men" producer Lauren Shuler Donner as the card-throwing Gambit, real name Remy LeBeau, back in May.
Donner told Total Film, "It is Channing, yes, yes."
This movie will be coming five months after the new "X-Men: Apocalypse" hits theaters. Lots of "X-Men" in the next year folks!
