Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn To Star In 'True Detective' Season 2

-- The wait is over: HBO has revealed the two stars of "True Detective" season two.
Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn have been tapped for eight episodes and are set to begin production later this fall in California, the network confirmed Tuesday.
According to HBO, this upcoming season will focus on "three police officers and a career criminal [who] must navigate a web of conspiracy in the aftermath of a murder."
Farrell, 38, spoke to Sunday World about his new role, saying he was "so excited" to take it on.

"I know it will be eight episodes and take around four or five months to shoot," he said. "We’re shooting in the environs of Los Angeles which is great. It means I get to stay at home and see the kids."
Last season, Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey starred in the show, though this season promises to have a new premise with new characters. The show earned both actors Emmy nominations.
