Female Cast of 'Ghostbusters' Fires Back at Critics

— -- The stars of the newest "Ghostbusters" movie fired back at critics who have complained about the all-female cast.
In the roundtable with Entertainment Weekly, Leslie Jones, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Kristen Wiig expressed their surprise and disappointment with the criticism they've been experiencing.
"I just thought, 'Really? Are we still there?'" McCarthy explained to Entertainment Weekly.
"When people started asking me about the gender stuff, I would say, 'It's not a man thing, it's not a woman thing. It's a 'Ghostbusters' thing," Jones said.
Wiig agreed, noting that the movie differs from the original in several ways. “It’s not just about it starring women,” she added.
Original "Ghostbusters" star Bill Murray, who originally said he would skip the reboot, told Jimmy Kimmel on his show that he has given his full support to the new cast.
"Ghostbusters" hits theaters on July 15.
