Gwen Stefani: 'Nobody Would Believe' What Happened With Ex-Husband Gavin Rossdale

— -- Gwen Stefani has a new album and a new love these days but there's still a bit of mystery surrounding her split from Gavin Rossdale, her husband of 13 years and the father of her three children.
Stefani recently sat down with Cosmopolitan for the magazine's September issue and addressed the split that left her with "trust issues."
"Nobody would believe it if I could really say what happened. I went through months and months of torture," she told Cosmo.
Though she's still unable to reveal the details, the singer pointed to her music as evidence.
"All you have to do is listen to every single song I've ever written, and it's all there. It's an ongoing theme that I've had for a long time," she said.
Stefani now says she's in love with Blake Shelton, and she even wrote a song with him (something she never did with her former husband). The two met on the show "The Voice." Stefani said their romance did not develop overnight.
"They chose to run with that story before anything was even real," she told Cosmo. "I hardly knew him. But it was like it was in the air — happening before it happened."
The September issue of Cosmopolitan will be available on newsstands Aug. 9.
