It reaches more than one billion TV households around the world and has more than 260 million fans worldwide -- 39 million of them in the United States, and about a third of those U.S. fans are women.
Some of the biggest names in the sport joined “Good Morning America” to share their empowering secrets, from workout tips to how to stay strong in the face of adversity, but they also revealed these fun facts about themselves:

Frankie Edgar: Edgar met his wife in kindergarten. They used their kindergarten class photo as their wedding invitation. He’s excellent at trivia and wants to be on “Celebrity Jeopardy.”
Chris Weidman: His house was destroyed in Hurricane Sandy. He rescued his elderly neighbor when she hit her head on the coffee table in her living room.
Jon Jones: He got his nickname “Bones” not because he breaks bones, but because his high school football coach said he had “skinny, bony legs.” His two brothers are professional football players in the NFL. He is a lover of exotic wild cats.
Paige VanZant: She was bulled in high school. She also loves to cook. Her mom can’t watch any of her fights because she’s too nervous.
Daniel Cormier: He’s a huge shoe collector of tennis shoes. He’s also a huge New Orleans Saints fan and will choose to wear their clothes over his suits any day.
Chuck Liddell: He used to paint his toenails for good luck before fights.
Bruce Buffer: His brother is Michael Buffer, the voice of boxing and originator of the “Let’s get ready to rumble” catchphrase.
Miesha Tate: She saved her boyfriend’s mom when she suffered a severe asthma attack on vacation.
Dana White: He was Mark Wahlberg’s roommate and boxing coach.
