Idris Elba and Tom Hiddleston Are Coming Back for 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'
A fan favorite [hint -- a major villain] is returning to the big screen!!
-- Hear that?
It's the collective sigh of relief from Marvel fans after Idris Elba just spilled the news that he and Tom Hiddleston are coming back for "Avengers: Age of Ultron."
Elba, who plays Heimdall from Asgard, and Hiddleston, who famously plays the witty villain Loki, will be back, but no word as to what their role will be in the film, which pits the Avengers against the evil robot Ultron and his hoard of robot disciples.
“I’m in Avengers,” he told the Telegraph. “And I’m doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth [who plays Thor] and Tom Hiddleston, and they’re like, [whispers] – ‘Aren’t you [meant to be] in Ibiza?’?”
His quote was in to reference that fact that Elba is pulled in so many different directions with all his working commitments.
But, Marvel fans took off and were happier with the mention of Hiddleston's name. Hiddleston shined in the first "Avengers," while Elba has only appeared in the "Thor" movies.
If you recall, the scenes between Robert Downey Jr. [Iron Man] and Hiddleston in the 2012 hit are some of the best in the entire Marvel franchise of films. Two witty characters going back and forth in the grandest possible scale -- yes please, and more!
"Avengers: Age of Ultron" opens on May 1, 2015.
Here's a little taste of Hiddleston as Loki:
