What Jennifer Lawrence Said About Rumored Boyfriend Darren Aronofsky
Actress talks about her work and friendships but stays mum about her love life.
-- Jennifer Lawrence would not confirm reports that she is dating director Darren Aronofsky but she did open up about wanting to work with him.
In a new cover story for Vanity Fair, Lawrence, 26, told the magazine that she immediately accepted a role in his horror film, "Mother," even before she saw a script.
"He is a visionary," she said of the 47-year-old director, who has a 10-year-old son, Henry, with ex Rachel Weisz.
Besides starring in "Mother," Lawrence will appear in the science-fiction romance "Passengers" this December and has lined up projects with Steven Spielberg, her "Hunger Games" director Francis Lawrence and director Adam McKay.
"I don’t like waking up with nothing to do or going to sleep without accomplishing anything," the star told Vanity Fair. "That really depresses me."
When she's not working, Lawrence can be seen hanging with some of her famous friends, including Emma Stone. The two became friends after Woody Harrelson introduced them.
"She texted me that she got my number from Woody," Lawrence said, recalling an expletive she used after receiving that first text. "And we’ve been really good friends ever since."
"I love my job,” Lawrence added. "I don’t know what I would be without acting. So if there is someone who loves the same thing, it should bring us closer. But it depends on how that person is, and Emma is so normal and lovely."
In fact, Lawrence came out to support her friend at the premiere of "La La Land," Stone's musical with Ryan Gosling. "If I wasn’t her biggest fan, I would’ve Tonya Harding’d her in the kneecaps," Lawrence said at the time.
As for her close friends outside the industry, Lawrence has been sharing in their personal milestones.
"All of my friends are getting married and having babies. Weddings rock, but I will never be a bridesmaid again," the star announced. "There needs to be a bridesmaids’ union. It’s horrendous. If anyone asks me again, I’m going to say, ‘No. That part of my life is over. I appreciate the ask.’"
She added,"If I do ever get married, I don’t think I will have bridesmaids. How can I rank my friends?"
