Why Keira Knightley Has to Apologize to Anne Hathaway
Actress has been mistaken for Anne Hathaway and Natalie Portman.
Dec. 29, 2014 -- Keira Knightley was recently rushing through the airport when a fan asked her for an autograph -- thinking she was someone else.
"At the airport a woman mistook me for Anne Hathaway," Knightley revealed to Australia's Daily Telegraph over the weekend.
"Actually I think I have to apologize to Anne Hathaway because the woman (at the airport) thought I was being really rude as Anne Hathaway not giving her a picture as Anne Hathaway, but I was really only saying that I promised I wasn’t Anne Hathaway — which I am not."
Knightley confessed that it's not the first time she's been mistaken for another actress.
"Actually it’s the first Anne Hathaway I have had," she said. "Generally I get a lot of Rachel Weisz and Natalie Portman."
While she is most certainly not Hathaway, Knightley, 29, did recently take the Oscar winner's place in this year's "Laggies," the follow-up to director Lynn Shelton's "Your Sister’s Sister."
"She dropped out very late in the process and they were scrambling a bit to find somebody and I was...well, I didn’t have anything," Knightley admitted. "Stylistically, it’s completely different from what I had been doing previously so it was very much 'jump in and hope for the best.'"
Knightley was recently nominated for a Screen Actors Guild award and Golden Globe for her role in "The Imitation Game."
