Kristen Stewart: My Relationship With Robert Pattinson Became 'a Product'

— -- Kristen Stewart starred alongside Robert Pattinson in the popular "Twilight" movies, and to the delight of the franchise's fans, began dating him in real life too.

However, the actress told The New York Times’ T Magazine, the excessive attention made her uncomfortable.

They split in 2013, months after Stewart was photographed kissing director Rupert Sanders.

“People wanted me and Rob to be together so badly that our relationship was made into a product. It wasn’t real life anymore. And that was gross to me," she said. "It’s not that I want to hide who I am or hide anything I’m doing in my life. It’s that I don’t want to become a part of a story for entertainment value."

These days, Stewart, 26, who is promoting her new movie, "Personal Shopper," is dating Alicia Cargile, a visual-effects producer. The two have been together for three years, and Stewart told the magazine that they're in love.

“I would never talk about any of my relationships before, but once I started dating girls it seemed like there was an opportunity to represent something really positive,” she said. “I still want to protect my personal life, but I don’t want to seem like I’m protecting the idea, so that does sort of feel like I owe something to people.”
