He has been charged with one count of murder in the second degree in the August death of E'Dena Hines.
“West 162nd Street was the scene of a brutal and shocking act of violence in the early morning hours of August 16th,” Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Police told ABC News that police responded to a call of a woman, later confirmed to be Hines, who had been stabbed 25 times times. The aspiring actress, 33, was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Davenport, 30, was arrested at the scene.
