Nick Lachey on competing against his wife Vanessa on 'DWTS': 'I've actually moved out'
The Lacheys are paired with pro dancers who are married to each other.
— -- “Dancing With the Stars” is bound to get personal this season as two married couples face off against each other.
98 Degrees front man Nick Lachey, 43, will compete against his wife, TV personality Vanessa Lachey, 36, in the show’s 25th season.
Nick Lachey’s pro partner is Peta Murgatroyd, who is married to Vanessa Lachey’s pro partner, Maks Chmerkovskiy.
“I’ve actually moved out of the house for the duration of the season, just to keep the peace,” Nick Lachey joked today on “Good Morning America,” where the entire celebrity cast for season 25 was revealed live.
Vanessa Lachey quickly replied to her husband's quip, saying, "No, America, we’re still living together."
The Lacheys wed in 2011 and now have three young children, Phoenix, Brooklyn and Camden.
Chmerkovskiy and Murgatroyd wed in front of many of their "DWTS" costars in July and have an 8-month-old son, Shai.
Nick Lachey's brother, Drew Lachey, who won season 2 of "DWTS," gave a preview of the competition to come between the two spouses in a surprise taped message for Nick Lachey on "GMA."
"I sure hope you beat Vanessa because if you don’t, she is never going to let you hear the end of it," he said.
Nick Lachey, who was previously married to Jessica Simpson, met Vanessa Lachey, a former Miss Teen USA and MTV host, while filming a music video for his song "What's Left of Me."
In addition to the Lacheys, season 25 of "DWTS" will feature Drew Scott, Sasha Pieterse, Barbara Corcoran, Derek Fisher, Victoria Arlen, Jordan Fisher, Nikki Bella, Terrell Owens, Frankie Muniz, Debbie Gibson, Lindsey Stirling, Vanessa Lachey and Nick Lachey.
