Rory Feek Says He's 'Retired' From Music After Wife Joey Feek's Death

— -- Country music singer Rory Feek said he's now "retired" from creating music after the death of his wife, Joey Feek.
Joey Feek, who performed with her husband as the duo Joey + Rory, died March 4 after a battle with cervical cancer. She was 40.
"I don't have any plans to play or sing," Rory Feek told People magazine. "People ask me that everywhere I go: 'Are you writing or singing or are you performing anywhere?'"
"When I have something to say and when I feel like I would be okay with saying it without her, then I might play guitar or sing, but I don't feel that way today," he added.
Rory Feek, 51, may not have any plans to create new music, but he is creating a new tribute for his late wife. A film titled "To Joey, With Love" is described as a "two-night event" on the film's website.
The film, coming to select cities Sept. 20 and Oct. 6, will share the couple's story, starting from the birth of their 2-year-old daughter, Indiana, who has Down syndrome, to Joey Feek's battle with cancer and ultimately her passing.
"I would like to think that life can still go on and still be beautiful in spite of the fact that Joey is not with us, and it is," he said. "It's hard, but it's still beautiful."
