Shia LaBeouf Arrested in Texas for Public Intoxication
The "Transformers" star was booked into jail Friday.
-- Actor Shia LaBeouf has had another run-in with the law.
The "Transformers" star was arrested late Friday in Austin, Texas, and charged with public intoxication, the Austin Police Department said in a news release. No further details were released.
LaBeouf, 29, was booked into the Travis County Jail and released on his own recognizance, jail records show. He was arrested near where the Austin City Limits music festival is taking place through Sunday.
LaBeouf’s arrest took place on 6th Street and San Jacinto Boulevard, according to authorities, in the vicinity where the Austin City Limits music festival is being held through Sunday.
Last summer, the actor was arrested in New York City for causing a disturbance during a Broadway performance of "Cabaret." A security guard said that LaBeouf stood up in the middle of the show and began yelling at the actors, according to court documents. He later guilty to disorderly conduct and was ordered by a judge to undergo treatment.
In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show last October, LaBeouf called jail "really rough."
"They put a Hannibal mask on me and a lead jacket and it was just really rough," he said.
