Sofia Vergara Says Husband Joe Manganiello 'Wants Kids'
The "Modern Family" actress said she's thinking of expanding her family.
-- Sofia Vergara only wed Joe Manganiello two months ago, but the "Modern Family" actress said she's already thinking of expanding her family.
"My husband is younger than me and he wants kids so we're trying to figure out what we're going to do," Vergara, 43, said in Net-A-Porter's The Edit. "The idea of doing it all again doesn't scare me but, hey, it's not like it's going to happen naturally, is it?"
Vergara and Manganiello, 39, had a fairytale wedding last November in Palm Beach, Florida.
The actress has been open about using in vitro fertilization in the past. In fact, Vergara was caught in a nasty legal battle with ex-fiancé Nick Loeb, who fought to keep the embryos they froze. The two split in May 2014.
Vergara said unlike her husband, who doesn't have kids of his own, she's not in a rush to have children because she's already mom to her son, Manolo, from a previous marriage.
"I became a mother very young -- at 20 -- so I feel like I've been a mother my whole life, but I love that," she said.
The Colombia-born actress also weighed in on how motherhood is different in the U.S.
"Now that I'm 43 and my son is 23, it's funny to see some of my girlfriends raising young kids. In the U.S., women postpone motherhood, but in Latin America most of my friends have kids my son's age."
