'Star Wars' star John Boyega reveals Mark Hamill 'comes back strong' in 'The Last Jedi'

The British actor said he loved working more with Hamill on "The Last Jedi."

Boyega said he loved having Hamill around so much more on this film and although he has yet to see the Lucasfilm production in full, he knows Hamill's performance will be "crazy."

"Seeing him around is incredible. In seven [‘The Force Awakens’] there was only one moment for him and now it's, you know, called 'The Last Jedi' and it has Luke Skywalker in it. It's going to be crazy," Boyega said.

"It's going to be crazy and his acting is incredible. Mark's come back strong and Luke as a character is so solid in this. I can't wait to see it. It's going to be good."

"Carrie means freedom to me. She means the ability to be yourself regardless of circumstance regardless of social construct. For me she's just incredible and back to back on every day we had jokes and laughter."

And of all the people Boyega loved working with in "The Last Jedi," he confessed to hating one new character.

Porgs look like wide-eyed cute, furry creatures, he said, but, "I don't like them."

"Let me put this image in your head: I saw these porgs in a hole on the Millennium Falcon [freighter] and mini ones bunched together with big ones and their black eyes just peering at you,” he said. “I can't stand them.”
