Stars of 'Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' Now and Then

Stars of the films reunite after third installment said to be in works.

— -- intro: They don't just play best friends on screen.

The stars of the much beloved "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" are close pals in real life too.

The foursome, America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn, Blake Lively and Alexis Bledel, who appeared together on the big screen in the 2005 film and 2008 sequel, reunited over brunch recently.

"Brunch with my best b*****s. #sisterhood @preserve_us @americaferrera," Tamblyn wrote beside the selfie she shared on Instagram on Monday of her and her three co-stars.

Ferrera also shared the cute pic, adding, "Always a good day when I'm with my sisters #DeLosPantalones Love these amazing women."

Blake Lively Opens Up about her Two-Year Break from Acting

In 2013, Ferrera told Entertainment Weekly, "We almost forget that we made a movie together because our friendship was created from so many other experiences. The fact that our friendship started in this beautiful film that was so meaningful to all of us and to our lives and our careers and to our friendship, we are always so grateful for it."

The reunion comes after news in April that a third "Sisterhood" movie is in the works. Based on the final novel in Ann Brashares popular series of the same name, the film catches up with the four friends 10 years later.

None of the stars have committed to the project yet. But all four have been busy since their last film together.
